The Evolution
In danger of fast becoming a car park due to neglect and vandalism, the plea to resurrect and nurture was finally answered.
Expecting massive interest, Mike Finn was left somewhat deflated as his vision of the Phoenix rising from the ashes to be viewed by multitudes, was in fact attended by five people.
Still, a never say die attitude, lots of hard work and effort and the aspiration to make this opportunity one for the whole community to enjoy, is the driving force behind this initiative. Our committee has grown in size by three, which is much needed and appreciated.
Our aspirations may well take a lot of time and effort to achieve, so should you feel you can offer assistance in any way, it will be greatly appreciated ( especially if it's in the form of a £50,000 cheque !!)
We have been extremely fortunate to have received assistance from Coopers Chemist Marske, SPORTSMATCH, Mssrs Jarvis & Darby, Bt Plc, Saltburn, Marske & New Marske Parish Council, the MSRA, Marske Bowling Club and The North Eastern and Cumbrian Co-op, whom along with our members have contributed towards the various initiatives which have already taken place.
